Mark E. DeVestern, Principal

Mark is Principal and Founder of DeVestern & Company in 2001. Mark has over 28 years of assessment experience including 5 years as Area Manager of Property Tax for a “Big Four” Firm, 9 years of experience as a Connecticut Assessor, and 9 years as Manager and Commercial/Industrial/Personal Property Appraiser for national appraisal firms working on property revaluation projects in Connecticut and throughout New England. Mark is a member and has served on the executive board of the Northeast Regional Association of Assessing Officers, the Connecticut Association of Assessing Officers, the Fairfield County Association of Assessors, and served as Connecticut representative for the International Association of Assessing Officers. Mark held the Designation of Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessor and is a Certified Connecticut Revaluation Manager/Appraiser. In most cases, his personal contacts and experience in local assessment practices help to give him an edge over other firms in securing the most fair and equitable assessments achievable for his client’s.
